Important Notes
- Standard AICTE/UGC Method: Percentage = (CGPA − 0.5) × 10. For a CGPA of 8.2, this equates to 77%.
- Direct Multiplier Method: Percentage = CGPA × 9.5. This is widespread for 10-point scales (CBSE/State Universities). For 8.2 CGPA, this equates to 77.9%.
- AICTE / IIT Madras Method: Percentage = (10 × CGPA) − 7.5. For 8.2 CGPA, this equates to 74.5%.
- Important: Different institutions utilize slightly different multipliers. Always check your university’s specific transcript guidelines, as it will explicitly state the conversion rule you need to use.
